In 2024, when we audited the administrative workflows of private schools across Uttar Pradesh, we discovered a startling paradox: schools were paying high annual subscriptions for legacy ERP software, yet teachers were still manually maintaining attendance registers, accountants were still hand-writing paper receipts, and principals were spending the first fifteen days of every single month personally calling parents about overdue fees.
