What if a parent's UPI AutoPay debit fails?

EduOpus automatically retries after 24 hours and sends both the parent and your school a WhatsApp alert. You'll see the failed attempt on your dashboard with the reason. You can also manually trigger a retry or send the parent a payment link as a fallback.

Do parents need to download a new app?

Accepted Answer

No. Parents use their existing UPI app — GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, or any banking app. They simply click a link sent on WhatsApp, tap 'Approve' once, and that's it. The entire setup takes 45 seconds.

What if a parent cancels their AutoPay mandate?

Accepted Answer

You get an immediate WhatsApp notification the moment a mandate is cancelled. EduOpus flags that student as manual-payment mode automatically, and your staff can follow up. This typically affects fewer than 2% of parents.

We already have software. How does migration work?

Accepted Answer

Our team handles the full migration in 3–5 working days. We import your existing student data, fee structures, and outstanding balances. You go live without losing any historical records.

Is this safe? Who handles the money?

EduOpus never holds your money. Fee settlements go directly from parents' bank accounts to your school's bank account via NPCI's regulated UPI rails. We are PCI-DSS compliant and use 256-bit SSL encryption. The infrastructure is the same that powers GPay and PhonePe.

What happens if your servers go down on the fee due date?

AutoPay mandates are executed by NPCI/bank infrastructure, not by our servers. Even if our entire platform is offline, the debit instructions go through because they run on India's national payment backbone. Your school's money is never at risk.

Question 7

Can we support parents who don't use UPI?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For parents who can't or won't use UPI, you can send them a manual payment link (UPI QR, net banking, or card), or record a cash payment directly on the dashboard. EduOpus supports hybrid schools.

Do you support multiple fee schedules — monthly, quarterly, annual?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can set up any combination: monthly for tuition, quarterly for transport, annual for admission fees. Each fee category has its own schedule, due dates, and late fee rules.

What's the ₹10/student/month price? Are there hidden charges?

₹10/student/month is the flat platform fee — no setup fee, no onboarding charges, no annual contracts, and zero transaction fees. All UPI AutoPay and online collection costs are fully included in the flat rate. There are no payment gateway charges passed to the school or parents.
